About us

In 2017 the steering board of SADAF decided to found an editorial, by the same name. Its main aim is to provide the philosophical community with a new venue for the publication of academic books on different topics in the different areas of analytic philosophy, such as metaphysics, philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, epistemology, philosophy of science, ethics, aesthetics and political philosophy. As is known, there has not been an increase of options corresponding to the increase in the philosophical research in those areas. The central motivation for this project is to address this shortcoming. This purpose is part and parcel of the overall aims of the institution, namely, promoting free intelectual exchange and rational discussion.

The editorial comprises four series, corresponding to the different types of work that have been produced and fostered since SADAF’s origins, in 1972:

Originals: individual scholarly monographs (including exceptional post-revision dissertations);
Anthologies: edited collections on a specific topic (including proceedings of conferences and workshops);
Translations: Spanish versions of important works in the history of analytic philosophy;
Textbooks: teaching material to be used in courses and seminars.

The intended target audience for all of the above are scholars and advanced students in philosophy and related disciplines.
During its five years of existence, the editorial has succeeded in publishing nine titles distributed in the different series —five monographs, two anthologies, one translation, and one textbook.
